Madhya Pradesh: 6 killed, 59 injured in blast at firecracker factory in Harda

National Desk, 6th February: At least 6 people have died, and around 59 others were injured in an explosion at a firecracker factory in Madhya Pradesh’s Bairagarh village in Harda district on Tuesday morning.

According to Harda District Magistrate Rishi Garg, the injured have been admitted to the hospital, with some in critical condition.

In response to the tragedy, Betul Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi instructed Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Ravikant Uikey to dispatch medical assistance to Harda. This includes four 108 ambulances, two doctors, and additional medical staff.

From Betul district to Harda, a team comprising 15 SDRF personnel, 4 home guards, 1 police constable, 1 head inspector, a vehicle driver, 3 fire extinguishers, 5 stretchers, 1 compressor machine, 15 gumboots, 15 helmets, and 4 harnesses with full-body harnesses has been dispatched to aid in the rescue operation.

The rescue operation is ongoing, with SDRF personnel present on the scene alongside ambulances.
