Madhya Pradesh: Bus Accident Injures Twenty-One Police and Home Guard Personnel

National Desk, 20th April: In the early hours of April 20, twenty-one police and Home Guard personnel sustained injuries when a bus overturned in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district.

The personnel, who were from Rajgarh district, had just completed their election duty in Chhindwara and were returning home when the accident occurred near the Baretha Ghat.

According to Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Shalini Paraste, the incident occurred around 4 am as the bus, carrying a total of 40 jawans, including five policemen and the remaining Home Guard members, was en route to Rajgarh.

Eight personnel who sustained serious injuries are currently receiving treatment at the district hospital in Betul.

The accident happened when the bus attempted to avoid a truck that had crossed its path, as stated by SDOP Shalini Paraste.

The polling for the Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat took place on April 19.
