Guwahati: Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Wednesday asked Uddhav Thackeray to demonstrate majority tomorrow at 5 pm on the House floor.

The governor has also asked that the meeting to be videotaped.

The governor wrote to the secretary of the Maharashtra legislative assembly to schedule a special session for tomorrow.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis met with the governor earlier on Tuesday to request a floor test.

Meanwhile, the rebel group in Assam’s Guwahati, led by Eknath Shinde asserted that it had the support of approximately 40 of the 55 Shiv Sena MLAs, putting the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) administration in Maharashtra on the verge of disintegrating.
