Maha Pol Crisis: Will be in Mumbai Soon, Says Eknath Shinde

Guwahati: Maharashtra rebel Eknath Shinde who has been in Assam for more than a week declared that he will soon be in Mumbai. The announcement comes a day after the Supreme Court stated that the July 11 hearing will be the next opportunity to address the disqualification notifications handed to Shinde and 15 other MLAs.

Shinde made the much-awaited news of his return to Mumbai as he left the hotel in Guwahati on Tuesday. He also asserted that they are in Shiv Sena. “We are in Shiv Sena. We are taking the Shiv Sena forward. There should not be any doubt about it. We will let you know about our further course of action,” he said reporters here today.

“No MLA is being silenced here; everyone is content. MLAs are present. If Shiv Sena claims that the lawmakers in attendance have communication with them, then should disclose their names “he said, according to news source ANI.

The Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress administration are currently experiencing their gravest crisis in almost two years as a result of Shinde’s overthrow of Uddhav Thackeray.

According to reports, Shinde has about 50 MLAs, so the numbers appear to be on his side.

He emphasised in his plea to the Supreme Court on Monday that the Uddhav Thackeray government had lost the majority it had held in the state parliament.

However, Maharashtra minister and Uddhav’s son Aaditya led the MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi) charge hours after the high court hearing. Additionally, he stated that “15-20 MLAs” were open to coming back. “About 15 to 20 MLAs have contacted us. They contacted Shiv Sainiks and I over the phone and pleaded with us to bring them back from Guwahati. The rebels’ predicament is similar to that of a prisoner, first in Surat (where they arrived after departing Mumbai last week), then in Guwahati, he said.
