Maha Vishnu Yajna Held in Baksa to Honour Soldiers; MLA Talukdar Launches Key Infrastructure Projects
Baksa, — In a heartfelt tribute to the armed forces, a Maha Vishnu Yajna was held in Assam’s Baksa district to pray for the safety and success of the soldiers defending India’s borders. The religious event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents and leaders, including Manah constituency MLA Phanidhar Talukdar, who offered prayers and lauded the sacrifices of India’s military personnel.
Speaking at the yajna, Talukdar emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens to support the brave men and women who safeguard the country. He stated that spiritual efforts like these serve to unite communities in gratitude and solidarity with the armed forces.
The day also marked a developmental milestone for the region, as the MLA laid foundation stones for new infrastructure initiatives across Manah constituency. Among the sanctioned projects are the construction of auditorium halls in Labdanguri, Barapeta, Gati, and Saudorbitha, with each project valued at Rs 12 lakh. Collectively budgeted at Rs 50 lakh, the new halls aim to enhance community engagement and provide venues for cultural and public events.
Talukdar was accompanied by party workers, supporters, and local officials throughout the day, as the twin events highlighted both the spiritual unity and developmental aspirations of the Baksa district.
