Guwahati: A high warning was issued after a suspicious boat carrying heavy weapons was discovered off a beach in Maharashtra’s Raigad district on Thursday.
Reports claim that the boat loaded with weaponry was discovered abandoned off the shore of Harihareshwar.
A sophisticated military-grade crate packed with AK-47 guns, magazines, and live ammo has been discovered by security agencies.
As a precaution, a blockade has been imposed throughout the Maharashtra district.
Additionally, a team from the Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad has departed Mumbai for Alibaug. The team is led by ATS chief Vinit Agrawal.
Moreover, a bomb squad was dispatched to the area.
