Maharashtra: Bus-Truck Collision ,10 Dead
Guwahati: As many as ten people were killed and several others were injured after a speeding bus collided with a truck in Nasik district of Maharashtra on Friday morning.
According to reports, a private luxury bus leaving Ambernath in Thane district was going to Shirdi, a place known for its temples in Ahmednagar district.
The accident occured at around 7 am near Pathare Shivar in the Sinnar tehsil of Nashik, about 180 miles from Mumbai.
Reportedly, the deceased included seven women, two small boys and a man.
The injured were taken to Sinnar’s Yashwant Hospital and Sinnar Rural Hospital.
The number of fatalities could rise because several of the injured are thought to be in severe condition.
