Maharashtra CM Shinde Visits Kamakhya Temple In Guwahati
Guwahati: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde arrives in Guwahati on Assam along with his 50 leaders consisting of MPs, MLAs and other official delegates.
Upon arrival, the Maharashtra CM offered his prayers at the Maa Kamakhya Devalaya atop the Nilachal hills in the city.
Notably, this is his maiden visit to Guwahati since he took office in June this year.
Further, the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is said to host a dinner party at his offical residence along with the Maharashtra chief Shinde and his delegates later today.
Moreover, they will staying at the Radisson Blu and will return to Mumbai tomorrow morning after breakfast.
Earlier this year, Maharashtra witnessed a huge political crisis wherein the then chief minister Uddhav Thackeray was ousted from his position after over 45 MLAs turned rebel and joined the Shinde-faction of the Shiv Sena.
Later, Eknath Shinde joined hands with the BJP and formed a government with Devendra Fadnavis as his deputy.
