Maharashtra CM Thackeray to Hold National Executive Meeting Today

Guwahati: Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has scheduled a meeting of the party’s national executive committee on Saturday at 1 PM in light of the ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra.

The meeting will be held in Shiv Sena Bhavan in which the chief minister will join virtually.

The renegade MLAs who are camped out in Guwahati want to “split the party,” according to Thackeray, who earlier on Friday called a virtual conference of the district heads.

“I’ve previously stated that I have nothing to do with power. Today, those who once declared they would sooner perish than leave the Shiv Sena have escaped “According to ANI, the Shiv Sena leader made these remarks during his virtual address at the gathering.

Thackeray claimed to have “suspected” the revolt and disclosed that the rebellious Eknath Shinde had brought up the subject of the MLAs who were eager to join the BJP in front of him. However, he said that such a question “does not even arise”.

“The opposition MLAs desire to split the party. I had never imagined being the chief minister in my fantasies. I left Varsha Bungalow, but I lack the motivation to fight ” he added.

He stated he would leave the party if the party’s officials told him that he was “useless and incapable” of leading the party.

The Shiv Sena leader referred to rejoining the BJP as the “BJP, that defamed our party, my family, is the one you are talking about going with.” There is no need to ask such a question. All MLAs have the option to travel there if they so want. I won’t. If someone wants to go – be it an MLA or someone else – come and tell us and then go,” the ANI report said.

Notably, the Chief Minister and his family moved to his family home, “Matoshree,” on Wednesday night after leaving the CM’s official residence.

Following the Uddhav Thackeray faction’s request to the deputy speaker to dismiss the rebel MLAs, the Eknath Shinde faction on Friday gave notice of a no-confidence vote against the deputy speaker, Narhari Jhirwal.
