Major Drug Bust in Assam: 850 Grams of Heroin Seized in Joint Police Operation
Guwahati, 1st June: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on social media platform X a significant drug seizure by Golaghat Police and Karbi Anglong Police in Doigrung. Acting on credible intelligence, authorities intercepted a vehicle, resulting in the confiscation of 850 grams of heroin.
Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the seizure, and investigations are ongoing. Sarma lauded the efforts of the police forces, praising their collaboration and dedication to combating drug trafficking in the region.
