Major Fire Breaks Out at Gas Agency in Assam’s Karbi Anglong

Guwahati, September 23: A significant fire engulfed a gas agency in the Bokajan area of Assam’s Karbi Anglong district late on September 22, as reported by local police. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far, though the blaze resulted in damage to properties worth several lakhs.

Witnesses reported seeing thick black smoke billowing from the building. Upon receiving the alarm, the fire brigade swiftly arrived on the scene and successfully extinguished the flames.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have caused the fire, although this has yet to be confirmed. Authorities are continuing to assess the situation and will provide further updates as the investigation unfolds.
