Guwahati, 1st March: A substantial reorganization has been implemented within the Assam police department with the primary goal of improving administrative effectiveness and augmenting public service across the state.
As part of this initiative, the Assam government has executed a series of transfers and postings throughout the state’s police force.
In the interest of public service, Barun Purkayastha, IPS, who previously served as Superintendent of Police (Law), Vigilance & Anti-Corruption in Srimantapur, Guwahati, has been transferred and appointed as the Superintendent of Police for Vigilance & Anti-Corruption-I in the same area.
Bir Bikram Gogoi, APS, formerly the Commandant of 10th APBn. in Kahilipara, Guwahati, has been reassigned as the Superintendent of Police for BI (EO-I) in Srimantapur, Guwahati, replacing Santanu Sharma Pathak, APS.
Santanu Sharma Pathak, APS, who held the position of Superintendent of Police for BI (EO-I) in Srimantapur, Guwahati, has been transferred to the role of Superintendent of Police for BI (EO-II) in the same area, succeeding Hridayjit Barman, APS.
Swapnaneel Deka, APS, previously designated as the Superintendent of Police for Goalpara, has been moved to the position of Superintendent of Police for Nagaon, replacing Nabaneet Mahanta, APS.
Hridayjit Barman, APS, who served as the Superintendent of Police for BI (EO-II) in Srimantapur, Guwahati, has been reassigned as the Superintendent of Police (Law), Vigilance & Anti-Corruption in the same area, taking over from Barun Purkayastha, IPS.
Dharmendra Kr. Das, APS, the former Commandant of 14th APBn. in Daulsal, Nalbari, has been transferred to the role of Commandant of 10th APBn. in Kahilipara, Guwahati, succeeding Bir Bikram Gogoi, APS.
Additionally, in the interest of public service, Shri Nabaneet Mahanta, APS, who served as Superintendent of Police in Nagaon, has been transferred to the position of Superintendent of Police in Goalpara.
Furthermore, Moidul Islam, APS, previously serving as the Additional Superintendent of Police (S&I) in Tinsukia, has been appointed as the 2nd-in-Command of 9th APBn. in Barhampur, Nagaon.
