Guwahati, 3rd Jan: As many as 9 Assam police officers have been transferred and posted in various locations on January 3 as part of a major reshuffle in the Home (A) and Political Department which is headed by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The following is the full list (dated January 3, 2024) of the 9 police officials who have been transferred:
- In continuation of this Department’s Notification No.HMA.46/2023/80 dated 06/12/2023 and in the interest of public service, Ms. Sizal Agarwal, IPS (RR-2020), Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Rangia, Kamrup is transferred and posted as Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), Dibrugarh against existing vacancy.
- In continuation of this Department’s Notification No.HMA.46/2023/80-A dated 06/12/2023 and in the interest of public service, Shri Renukuntla Sheetal Kumar, IPS (RR-2020), Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Bokakhat, Golaghat is transferred and posted as Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), Cachar against an existing vacancy.
- In the interest of public service, Shri David Rochung Hnung Neingaite, APS (DR-2010), Additional Superintendent of Police (S&I), Dibrugarh is transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati with effect from the date of taking over charge against existing vacancy.
- In the interest of public service, Shri Deborshi Choudhury, APS (DR-2013), Additional Superintendent of Police (S&I), Charaideo is transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati with effect from the date of taking over charge vice Smti. Kakoli Banya Boruah, APS transferred.
- In the interest of public service, Smti. Moushumi Kalita, APS (DR-2013), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-I), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati is transferred and posted as Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), Sonitpur with effect from the date of taking over charge vice Shri Birinchi Borah, APS transferred.
- In the interest of public service, Shri Safiqul Hussain, APS (DR-2013), Additional Superintendent of Police (S&I), Sonitpur is transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-I), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati with effect from the date of taking over charge vice Smti. Moushumi Kalita, APS transferred.
- In the interest of public service, Shri Arif Ahmed, APS, (DR-2013), Additional Superintendent of Police (S&I), Sivasagar is transferred and posted as Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), Nalbari with effect from the date of taking over charge vice Shri Dinesh Kumar, IPS.
- In the interest of public service, Shri Birinchi Borah, APS, (DR-2015), Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), Sonitpur is transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati ,with effect from the date of taking over charge against existing vacancy.
