Guwahati: A male corpse in a decomposing state was found hanging in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus.
According to reports, a dead body was found hanging from a tree in JNU jungle and the people who saw it informed the police.
Upon receiving the information, Delhi police reached the spot at around 6.30 pm on Friday.
As per police officials, the body was extensively decomposed, indicating that he had been deceased for some days. The deceased man appears to be aged around 40-45 years.
However, the identity of the individual is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, the police officials are investigating to see if the body belongs to a student, a faculty member, or an outsider.
It needs to be mentioned that the police conducted further investigations and a forensic team was called to the spot.
