Man allegedly Commits Suicide in Assam’s Goalpara over Harassment
Guwahati: Sensational prevails as a man allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the Brahmaputra River in Goalpara district of Assam.
This is suspected to be a fresh case of suicide into the Brahmaputra.
The deceased has been identified as Lohit Das, who was a temporary employee of District Sessions Judge of the district.
According to reports, Das committed suicide due to the alleged harassment in the office.
Meanwhile, Das also left a suicide note before ending his life.
As per reports the suicide cases are increasing day by day across the state.
The record of suicide cases was 3095 respectively in 2021.
Earlier, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma mentioned this year in 2021 about the suicide cases that the numbers of cases are decreasing in the state as compared to the tally in the year 2020. But again in 2022 the rising of cases are much more than the earlier years.
