Guwahati, 31st August: In a bizarre incident, a man named Umesh Brahma has been charged and arrested after his domesticated cow was involved in a collision with a Vande Bharat Express train in Assam’s Bongaigaon district.
Reportedly, Umesh’s cow was obstructing the path of the high-speed Vande Bharat Express train, resulting in the collision. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported from the incident. However, the collision led to a temporary disruption of train services.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducted an investigation and subsequently arrested Umesh Brahma on Wednesday night for his alleged involvement in the incident. Further investigations are underway.
This unusual case highlights the importance of ensuring the safety of both livestock and train operations to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
