Guwahati: One person has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Maharashtra police officer from Hajo in Guwahati of Assam.
The individual was arrested following extensive search operations conducted at Hajo on Monday night by the Bhangagarh Police.
The arrested person has been identified as Rehmat Ali. He was taken into custody at Dehorkuriha of Hajo.
According to reports, Ali robbed a Maharashtra police officer on October 7 (Friday) in Guwahati.
One mobile phone has been recovered from Ali’s possession.
Reports claim that another person connected to the incident has also been arrested in Dhirenpara of Guwahati.
The Bhangagarh Police are presently questioning the duo.
