Guwahati: One person has been apprehended for attempting to sell fake gold in the Nagaon district of Assam.
The individual who was arrested has been identified as Nizamuddin.
The 400-gram piece of fake gold was taken out of Nizamuddin’s possession by the police.
According to reports, the guy who tried to sell the fake gold was arrested on Friday night after a team from the Kathiatoli Police Patrol Post conducted an operation in the Kathiatoli area.
A case has been registered in this regard.
“We have recovered one piece of fake gold weighing about 400 grams. Our investigation is underway,” a police officer said.
