Guwahati: A man was allegedly discovered consuming human meat in a crematorium in Bongaigaon district of Assam.
The man identified as Satish Chandra Rai who is a resident of Bongaigaon.
The terrible event has caused widespread outrage in the area.
According to reports, when villagers witnessed the man collecting chunks of a dead body at a nearby Hindu cremation place and then spotted him eating it, the matter came to the limelight.
Rai was discovered eating human flesh from bodies at the cremation ground, according to villagers, who also noticed two chunks of flesh in his palm.
It needs to be noted that Satish admits to being drunk and eating half of the body’s burned meat.
Meanwhile, Satish admits to losing his senses owing to inebriation and eating the burnt flesh that remained.
