Guwahati: A middle-aged man was found dead in an explosion that occurred while welding on a gas truck in the Golaghat district of Assam.
The incident was reported in the Arengapara area of the district.
He was welding a section of the gas tanker when a loud explosion occurred, following which it caught fire.
According to reports, the person whose identity has not yet been released, died as a result of the impact.
The bomb was so powerful that it also caused damage to a nearby house, destroying its walls and windows.
Meanwhile, local law enforcement arrived at the scene and recovered the body for post-mortem.
