Guwahati: In a sensational incident, a dead body of an individual has been recovered from a railway track in Jorhat district of Assam on Thursday.
The body has been recovered from the Selenghat railway track passing through Lukhurakhon village in Mariani town.
According to reports, the person died on the spot after being hit by a speeding train.
Reportedly, the incident took place on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Police officials arrived at the spot and recovered the body of the deceased.
However, the identity of the deceased youth is yet to be ascertained.
It needs to be mentioned that an investigation is underway into the cause of the incident.
