Guwahati: Hojai police apprehended a man on suspicion of allegedly molesting a minor girl.
The accused have been identified as Uttam Das who allegedly forced the victim girl inside his car and molested her.
As per reports, the victim was able to escape from the clutches and flee from the car. She later told her family about theincident and as a result a complaint was lodged at the police station.
Police took the accused into custody from his residence on the basis of the complaint.
Meanwhile, a case was registered against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
