Guwahati: One person was arrested by the Assam Police with Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) from Jorabat under Meghalaya’s Ri-Bhoi district on Saturday night.
The arrestee identified as Namuddin.
According to reports, he was transporting the consignment from Tripura’s Agartala
The police officials arrested him while he was on his way to Shillong and seized Rs 24,000 from his possession.
It needs to be mentioned that the police officials also recovered around 27 kg of ganja from his possession.
