Guwahati: A man was allegedly injured after he was stabbed and his throat slit by a group of robbers in Noonmati area of Guwahati on Tuesday night.
The victim has been identified as Kishore Kalita who was an employee of the Railway department.
The incident took place at around 8:30 p.m. in Cabin Chowk area of Noonmati.
According to reports, Kalita was returning home from work.
Kalita has sustained major injuries and has been admitted in a critical condition at the Gate Hospital of Zoo-Narengi Road.
It needs to be noted that a huge amount of cash and a mobile phone has been stolen from the victim’s possession.
Meanwhile, Noonmati police station have started investigation into the case.
