Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a man was killed after being hit by a lightning strike in Barpeta district of Assam.
The incident has been reported at Khar Balli village in Kalgachia subdivision of the district.
The deceased identified as Noor Mohammad who was a resident of Khar Balli village.
As per sources, the man was fishing in the Beki River when the lightning strike hit them, adding that he died on the spot.
Meanwhile, police officials reached the incident spot and sent the bodies for post mortem.
