Guwahati: In a horrific incident from Assam’s Sivasagar, a man is accused of forcing his two children to swallow poison before consuming it himself at their home in the Bogidole area.
Following the incident, the man has been identified as Mridul Handique, and his sons were brought to Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh.
Unfortunately, the father and his 8-year-old son were pronounced dead when they arrived. His other son (10) is in critical condition and is currently undergoing medical treatment.
The man’s wife and daughters were reportedly not at the house when the incident occurred.
A preliminary investigation found that the man’s severe action was the result of a family dispute.
Meanwhile, the father and his son’s bodies were sent for a post-mortem.
An investigation into the matter is underway.
