Guwahati: A case of suspected uxoricide has come to light in which a woman was allegedly poisoned to death by her husband in the Cachar district of Assam.
The incident was reported from the village of Harinagar, which is close to Silchar.
According to reports, the suspected husband Alom Hussain is now on the run .
Reportedly, Hussain allegedly attempted to make it seem like a suicide. The murder’s motive has not yet been determined.
Meanwhile, the deceased woman’s family has filed an FIR against him.
According to police, a manhunt has been started to find the accused husband.
