Man Protested by Barking In front Of Govt Official after His Surname appeared as “kutta” instead of “Dutta” on ration card
Guwahati: In a strange incident, a man in Bankura district of West Bengal barked as a protest in front of a government official. The man became irate with the authorities after seeing that his name was incorrectly listed on his ration card.
The man has been identified as Srikanti Kumar Dutta.
According to reports, his surname was printed as “kutta (dog)” rather than “Dutta” in the ration. He felt ashamed as a result. The incident occurred on Friday when the joint Block Development Officer (BDO) went to the “Duare Sarkar” camp in the Bikasa Gram Panchayat.
The entire incident was captured on camera, and the video quickly gained popularity on social media. The man, who was visible in the video wearing a full-sleeved shirt and pants, kept barking without saying a single word.
The man started barking in front of the government official’s vehicle. The way Dutta objected also startled the government officer. After some time had passed, the officer became aware of the situation and gave the local government the order to correct the error.
Dutta stated in a statement to the news agency ANI, “I three times requested a name change on my ration card. The third time, Srikanti Kutta rather than Srikanti Dutta was used to write my name. This disrupted my mental state.”
Dutta further added that when Joint BDO appeared at the application for correction on Friday, he began acting like a dog in front of him. The speaker remarked on how frequently regular people would abandon their jobs to seek correction.
