Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a youth was found dead with a huge rod pierced through his body in Basistha area of Guwahati on Saturday night.
The deceased have been identified as one Dhiren Kumar who was a resident of Patorkhuchi.
According to reports, the body was recovered in a drain.
Upon receiving the information, the police officials reached the spot and recovered the body.
As per police officials, it is suspected that the youth died in a freak accident.
Police Officials further added that he was in an inebriated state.
It needs to be mentioned that an investigation has been initiated to ascertain all angles into the matter.
