Guwahati: An elderly man was trampled to death on Sunday by wild elephant in Doom Dooma of Tinsukia district in Assam.
According to reports, the incident took place in Doom Dooma’s Kakojan area.
The deceased has been identified as Maheshwar Moran.
Maheshwar went into the forest to cut down trees where a wild elephant attacked him and he lost his life.
Meanwhile, officials from the forest department and police have reached the spot.
