Guwahati: In yet another horrendous incident, a man allegedly beheaded an elderly man on Monday night in Assam’s Sonitpur district before entering a police station with the severed head.
The incident was reported from Doyalpur in Rangapara area of the district.
The accused man has been identified as Tuniram Madri.
According to reports, Madri entered Rangapara police station carrying a bag containing the severed head.
The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Hemram.
The accused individual was taken into custody by the police for interrogation after the incident.
The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
