“One AK series rifle, two 0.32 pistols and 14 live rounds were recovered from their possession,” a police official said.
According to officials, the insurgents were attempting infiltration with the intention to target security forces.
The arrestees along with recovered items were later handed over to Moreh police station for further investigation.
Since its foundation, the PLA has been waging guerrilla-based warfare against the Indian Armed Forces and has targeted the Indian Army, Indian Paramilitary Forces and the State Police Force. However, during the late nineties, it reportedly declared a unilateral decision not to target the Manipur Police.
