Imphal: In a significant development, Manipur Police have apprehended two individuals believed to be associated with the Arambai Tengol Unit-41 based in Jiribam.

The arrests were made in connection with the alleged kidnapping and assault of an Assam resident that occurred on April 21st.

The accused have been identified as RK Khomdonsana, 32 years old and hailing from Bhutangkhal, and Lourembam Thoiba, a 20-year-old resident of Uchathol.

Law enforcement officials state that these individuals are suspected of abducting and physically attacking Ajimul Hussain Laskar, who resides in Bakhal within the Cachar district of neighboring Assam.

Adding to the day’s security successes, Manipur’s security forces conducted independent operations that led to the detention of Sorokhaibam Malemnganba Singh in the Wangoo Sadankhong area of Kakching District. Singh is identified as an active member of the Kangleipak Communist Party (People’s War Group), commonly known as KCP(PWG).

Further bolstering these efforts, police also arrested Longjam Tony Singh, 37, near Mangal Hospital situated in the Imphal West District.
