Manipur Assembly election: BJP to contest all 60 Assembly seats

Guwahati: Bhartiya Janta Party declared the names for all 60 Assembly seats for the upcoming Manipur Assembly election on Sunday.

 

Chief Minister N Biren Singh will contest from his traditional constituency, Heingang.

 

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav while addressing a press conference that the leading party BJP will again form a government in the state with more than two-thirds of the majority on its own.

 

Manipur election will be held in phase on 27 February and March 3, 2022.

“In Manipur, the BJP has presided over a peaceful and prosperous government. The party would fight hard for all 60 seats in Manipur. The names of the candidates have been written on all of the seats. N Biren Singh, the Chief Minister of Punjab, will run for the Heingang constituency.

The majority of the tickets were awarded to persons who had long worked for the BJP. Tickets were also given to people associated with sports, administration, and academia “Bhupender Yadav said.
