Manipur Authorities Install 125 Checkpoints to Bolster Security, Detain 97 for Violations

Northeast Desk, 12th July:In a significant move to enhance security across Manipur, authorities have installed 125 checkpoints throughout the state’s hill and valley regions. This intensified security effort has resulted in the detention of 97 individuals for various violations.

The security forces have carried out extensive search operations and area domination exercises in vulnerable areas. These measures are part of a broader strategy to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of residents.

In addition to these security enhancements, authorities have prioritized the movement of essential items. A total of 58 vehicles traveled along NH-37 and 305 vehicles along NH-2 under stringent security protocols. To ensure the free and safe passage of vehicles carrying essential goods, strict security measures have been implemented at vulnerable locations, and security convoys are provided in sensitive stretches.

These actions reflect the ongoing commitment of Manipur authorities to curb insurgent activities and protect the well-being of its citizens.
