Manipur Authorities Launch Inspection as Part of Clean Senapati River Campaign

Imphal: Senapati district authorities in Manipur conducted a key inspection of the Senapati River on February 20, as part of the ongoing Clean Senapati River Campaign.

The inspection was led by Rang David Kung, MCS, ADM Senapati, and Adahrii Maheo, MCS, CEO of the Autonomous District Council Senapati, with support from the Police Department, Senapati District Students Association, and Karong Senapati Town Committee.

The inspection team identified several locations where pollutants were being directly dumped into the river and issued immediate warnings to cease such practices. The authorities also took the opportunity to educate residents living along the river about the detrimental effects of pollution and the importance of protecting this crucial water source for the district.

The Clean Senapati River Campaign will continue with a series of awareness programs involving community leaders and local residents, alongside cleanliness drives. Authorities have called for active public participation in the campaign to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for the community.
