Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate N. Budhachandra Singh filed his nomination papers on Wednesday from the Jiribam Assembly Constituency for the two-phase election.
Singh filed his nomination papers supported by four proposers each at the DC office in Chingdong Leikai village of Jiribam district of Manipur.
He was accompanied by Spokesperson BJP Manipur Pradesh L. Veerjit Singh, Ex Minister of Manipur A. Biren Singh, K. Saratkumar Singh, Vice- Chairman, Manipur Food Industries Corporation Ltd and his supporters.
Another National People Party (NPP) candidate MK. Abbas Khan also filed his papers from 40- Jiribam Assembly Constituency today at the office of the Returning Officer.
It may be mentioned that that the election for 40- Jiribam Assembly Constituency will be held on 2nd phase on 3rd March.
