Manipur Celebrates Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, CM Calls for Unity and Environmental Responsibility
Northeast Desk, 31st October: On Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), Manipur gathered at the 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles Parade Ground to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Chief Minister N. Biren Singh graced the event as Chief Guest, reflecting on Patel’s role in uniting India.
The event featured nine contingents from various security forces and organizations in a parade led by N. Biren Singh.
He highlighted Patel’s contributions and called for unity, cooperation, environmental responsibility, and dialogue to ensure peace and development in Manipur.
Singh expressed concerns about climate change and the need for ecological responsibility. He also stressed responsible journalism and cautioned against spreading notes from unauthorized organizations that could incite communal tensions.
Prominent dignitaries attended the event, emphasizing the importance of unity and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s legacy.
