Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh Pays Homage on “Good Governance Day,” Commemorating Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Legacy

Northeast Desk, 25th December: In honor of the 99th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh participated in the “Good Governance Day” observance at the City Convention Centre, Imphal East. Singh, via a tweet on the microblogging site X, expressed gratitude for Vajpayee’s enduring legacy in diplomacy and national security.

Singh recognized Vajpayee as a guiding force, emphasizing the influence of his principles on India’s resilient economy. The Chief Minister underscored the inspiration drawn from Vajpayee’s teachings, shaping the nation’s commitment to good governance.

“Good Governance Day,” established on December 25, 2014, commemorates the birthdays of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the late Madan Mohan Malviya, both recipients of the Bharat Ratna. The day signifies the nation’s dedication to fostering transparency, accountability, and effective administration. The tradition has evolved into the seven-day celebration of Good Governance Week, now in its third edition, promoting governance ideals from December 20 to 26.
