Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh to Attend NITI Aayog Meeting in New Delhi

Northeast Desk, 27th July: Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh is set to participate in the NITI Aayog meeting in New Delhi on Saturday, July 27. This high-profile meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will include a chief ministers’ conclave.

Prior to his departure to the national capital, Singh remarked, “My visit to Delhi is for the NITI Aayog meeting, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following this, there will be a chief ministers’ conclave where the PM will be present.”

Singh emphasized that he will use this opportunity to discuss the current situation in Manipur and seek solutions to the ongoing crisis. “I am optimistic that positive outcomes will result,” he added.

Earlier, on July 26, Singh met with Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, in New Delhi. The Chief Minister shared the key points of their discussion on the microblogging site X, noting their focus on addressing critical infrastructure issues in Manipur.

During the meeting, Singh underscored the urgent need to expedite the construction of highways in the state. He also highlighted the necessity of repairing roads that have been severely damaged by recent floods.
