Manipur CM Congratulates PM Modi on Taking Oath as MP, Foresees Progress

Northeast Desk, 24th June: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his oath-taking as a Member of Parliament from the Varanasi seat, Uttar Pradesh, on June 24. Singh expressed confidence that the country will achieve significant progress under Modi’s leadership.

Using the microblogging site X, Singh praised PM Modi’s dedication to the nation, stating, “Extending best wishes to PM Narendra Modi as he took oath as a Member of Parliament from Varanasi seat, Uttar Pradesh today. With renewed dedication and unwavering commitment towards bringing more glory to the nation, PM Modi will lead the country towards further progress and prosperity.”

The commencement of the 18th Lok Sabha was marked by Prime Minister Modi’s oath-taking, signaling the start of a new parliamentary session. Members followed in alphabetical order of their states to take their oaths.

Prime Minister Modi’s arrival at the Parliament was highlighted by an address to the media before the session began. This special session is crucial not only for the swearing-in of members but also for the legislative challenges and opposition that the government is anticipated to encounter from the outset.
