Manipur CM Joins Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Prays for Peace and Prosperity

Imphal: The Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh, has expressed his delight at being part of the sacred Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, a religious gathering that takes place once every 144 years. The CM described the event as divine and emphasized its profound significance.

Accompanied by his cabinet colleagues and Members of the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister took part in the holy tradition of taking a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam, praying for peace, harmony, and prosperity for the people of Manipur and the entire nation. CM Singh expressed his hope that this auspicious occasion would bring blessings to all.

Earlier, on February 5, following his departure for the national capital to meet with central leaders, three senior ministers and four BJP MLAs from Manipur also flew to Delhi. The Chief Minister was expected to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss various pressing issues, including the security situation in the state.

Along with the Chief Minister, Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Govindas Konthouam, Forest and Environment Minister Thongam Biswajit, and Consumer Affairs Minister L Susindro Meitei were on the chartered flight, along with BJP MLAs Karam Shyam, Sanasam Premchandra, Kh Ibomcha, and Sapam Kunjakeshwor (Keba).
