Manipur CM N Biren Singh Seeks Unified Command Authority for Enhanced Security

Northeast Desk, 8th September: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, accompanied by cabinet ministers and MLAs, met with Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya today to address escalating security challenges in the state. The meeting, held at Raj Bhawan, lasted 45 minutes.

CM Singh presented a memorandum to the Governor, requesting the establishment of a Unified Command Authority. This move aims to better coordinate security forces and streamline efforts to address ongoing issues.

Following the meeting, Singh and his team continued discussions at the CM’s Secretariat. The push for enhanced leadership reflects growing concerns over law and order in the region, with Singh advocating for decisive actions to restore peace and stability.
