Manipur CM N. Biren Singh Thanks PM Modi for New ₹16-Crore Healthcare Unit Foundation, Lauds Northeast Focus

Imphal, Manipur — Chief Minister N. Biren Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for laying the foundation stone for a new healthcare unit in Manipur, an initiative valued at ₹16 crore.

This project aims to uplift healthcare infrastructure in the state, providing vital support to the local community.

Acknowledging the Prime Minister’s ongoing commitment to the northeastern region, CM Singh remarked, “It is not just about the money but the importance that PM Modi has placed on Manipur and the other northeastern states. We truly appreciate it.”

The CM also praised the recent launch of Ayushman Bharat cards, an initiative by PM Modi that grants ₹5 lakh in financial support for citizens aged 70 and above, ensuring accessible medical care across India.

The healthcare unit, once completed, is expected to significantly advance medical services in Manipur, underscoring the government’s priority on the well-being of northeast India and its residents.
