Imphal (Manipur): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Imphal ahead of the Assembly election for campaigning in the state.
AICC in-charge Bhakta Charan Das, senior observer (Manipur election) Jairam Ramesh, and other top leaders of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee greeted the Congress leader, who is on a two-day visit to the state, at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal (MPCC).
According to a reliable source, Rahul Gandhi would pay tribute to Manipur’s martyrs at the Shaheed Minar at BT Park and the Nupi Lal Memorial complex during his visit to the state.
It may be mentioned that elections to the 60-member seats for the Manipur Legislative Assembly 2022 will be held in two phases on February 28 and March 5. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
It needs to be mentioned that Earlier today Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Imphal and greets BJP supporters in Manipur.
