Manipur: DC Jiribam Reviews Dharti Aaba Abhiyaan Progress, Sets Next Outreach Dates for June 25 and 28

Imphal: A comprehensive review meeting of the Dharti Aaba Abhiyaan campaign was conducted today at the DC Office chamber in Jiribam under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS. The meeting evaluated the implementation progress of the nationwide outreach campaign spearheaded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, which aims to ensure saturation of key government schemes in tribal areas.

The Deputy Commissioner informed participants that the campaign in Jiribam district, which began on June 16, is covering various tribal villages including Chotobekra and Bhutangkhal. He reiterated that the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Grameen Vikas Abhiyaan is a time-sensitive initiative running from June 15 to 30, and is focused on delivering welfare services directly to tribal communities.

Krishna Kumar directed all departments to strengthen and expedite their service delivery strategies while submitting concrete action plans for upcoming outreach events. The next phases of the campaign are scheduled to take place in Chotobekra village on June 25 and in Jairolpokpi village on June 28, following successful earlier rounds held on June 16 and 17.

During the campaign, an extensive array of schemes is being promoted, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and rural electrification drives, including the New Solar Power Scheme. Beneficiaries are also being made aware of rights under the Forest Rights Act, 2006, and health programs like the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, National Health Mission, and National Sickle Cell Mission.

Further, schemes related to education and livelihoods such as Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, services at Anganwadi centres, Skill India Mission, and PM Matsya Sampada Yojana are being actively integrated into the district-wide campaign.

The Deputy Commissioner underscored the administration’s commitment to inclusive growth and urged officials to close service gaps through proactive participation. The review concluded with a renewed focus on ensuring successful delivery of schemes aimed at sustainable development in tribal regions of Jiribam.
