Manipur Government Provides Rs 1,000 Financial Assistance to Displaced Persons

Northeast Desk, 25th October: The Manipur government has taken a step to support displaced individuals by disbursing Rs 1,000 financial assistance per person to those residing in relief camps across the state. This financial aid aims to help them acquire clothing and personal belongings as winter approaches.

Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh, announced this initiative on social media platform ‘X,’ expressing the government’s commitment to assisting those affected. A total of Rs 6.138 crore has been released to district commissioners, who will utilize these funds to provide assistance to 61,387 individuals currently living in relief camps.

“A total of Rs 6.138 Crore has been released to DCs which is will be utilised for providing the assistance to 61,387 persons presently living in relief camps in the State. The State Government will continue to provide assistance to everyone affected irrespective of the communities they belong to”, wrote CM Biren Singh.
