Manipur: Hmar woman resuced in Jiribam
Imphal: A 37-year-old woman from the Hmar community in Jiribam district was rescued near the Assam-Manipur Border on Wedensday.
The woman was found wandering clueless near the Nungchappi village under Jiribam police station, Jiribam bordering Assam.
She was identified as a resident of Moljol Village in Jiribam District.
Locals near the area called up the police after noticing the woman.
The woman was reported to have a mental disorder and seemed lost.
She was safely recovered by the police and was handed over to her family members, the police added.
The Hmar community lives in the southern parts of Manipur.
