Manipur: Imphal Convenes High-Level Security Summit Amidst Heightened State Vigilance
Imphal: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla spearheaded a crucial security meeting held today within the confines of the Raj Bhavan’s conference hall in Imphal. The urgent assembly aimed to meticulously evaluate and strategize responses to the prevailing law and order dynamics within the state.
The high-powered in-person attendees included key security figures such as Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh and Director General of Police Rajiv Singh. The military presence was marked by GOC of the 57 Mountain Division, Maj. Gen. S.S. Kartikeya. Top-ranking police officials ADGP (Intelligence) Ashutosh Kumar Sinha and ADGP (Law & Order) Lupheng Kailun, along with Joint Director, SIB, Navdeep Singh Grewal, contributed their insights. Additionally, senior representatives from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Border Security Force (BSF) were present to lend their expertise.
Expanding the scope of the critical deliberations, several key officials joined the meeting through virtual channels. These included Chief Secretary P.K. Singh and Commissioner (Home) N. Ashok Kumar, alongside high-ranking army officers GOC 3 Corps Lt. Gen. Abhijit S. Pendharkar, IG AR (South) Maj. Gen. Ravroop Singh, and IGAR (East) Maj. Gen. Suresh Kumar Bhambhu.
The central focus of the extensive discussions revolved around fortifying the synergistic efforts among the diverse security agencies operating within Manipur. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to a comprehensive review of intelligence gathered at the ground level. The overarching objective was to ensure the maintenance of a resilient and effective security framework across the entire state.
