Manipur: Militants Attack Oil and LPG Tankers on National Highway 37, One Injured
Northeast Desk, 16th April: A brazen attack on oil and LPG tankers rocked National Highway 37 near Tolen in Keimai, Manipur, today. Armed militants targeted the convoy around 10:30 am, resulting in significant damage to multiple tankers and inflicting injuries upon a truck driver.
The assault, aimed at oil tankers traversing the highway, left a trail of destruction, with at least three tankers bearing the brunt of the attack. Amidst the chaos, one truck driver sustained injuries, underscoring the severity of the situation.
Prompt response from security forces ensued, as they swiftly mobilized to the scene to quell the violence and restore order. Their efforts are focused on ensuring the safety of all affected individuals and mitigating further escalation of the situation.
